AMMAN - Talal Abu-Ghazaleh &
Co. International (TAG-Consult), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital
(TAG.GD), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jordanian
American Business Council (JABC).
The agreement aims to enhance cooperation
in building and developing a platform that offers a wide range of professional
and consulting services, designed to support and facilitate business activities
of Jordanian investors in the United States of America and other countries, in
addition to providing digital learning services.
The MoU was signed by HE Dr.
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG.GD founder and chairman, and Dr. Tarik Najib, JABC
chairman, who was accompanied by Dr. Rawan Al Hiyari and a number the Council’s
members.
During the signing ceremony, Dr.
Abu-Ghazaleh highlighted the significance of the “American culture in
education”, recalling his educational journey that started nearly seven decades
ago at the American University of Beirut. He also talked about his early career
journey, including his first business involvement with the concept of Intellectual
Property (IP) and obtaining his first computer course in 1965.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh went on to point
to the contemporary relevance of these concepts, especially their integration
into digital learning platforms. Such platforms, he noted are crucial in
expanding access to affordable educational costs, especially for people in the
Global South, which represent 80% of the world’s population.
For his part, Dr. Najib briefed
the attendees on the Council's mission to promote Jordanian investment and
facilitate all related requirements. He also referred to the accomplishments
achieved through the signing of MoUs with various institutions, universities,
and countries, which have effectively contributed to strengthening the
reputation of Jordan and Jordanian investors. These efforts will be integrated
with the professional services offered by TAG.GD.
Meanwhile, Dr. Rawan Al Hiyari emphasized
the impact of this collaboration in implementing the directives of His Majesty
King Abdullah II within the sectors of food, medicine, and education. She noted
that the partnership would play a key role in enhancing the quality and
standards of various products and services that Jordan is proud to produce and
export.
She also linked the insights shared during the meeting to the
themes of her first book, entitled ‘Visions in the Time of a “World Being Reshaped”,
which she presented as a gift to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh.
It is worth mentioning that the MoU paves the way for a series
of executive agreements, with one of the key initiatives being the launch of a
digital learning platform in several specialized fields, especially in the
medical and healthcare professions.
