Dr.
Abu-Ghazaleh: Enhancing the living conditions of our workforce is a top
priority
AMMAN – HE Dr.
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital
(TAG.GD), decided to give an exceptional allowance for TAG.GD’s employees in
all offices. This comes in line with Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s belief in the
importance of enhancing the employees’ well-being, and in recognition of their
ongoing efforts and role in driving TAG.GD’s growth and development.
According to a
press statement issued by TAG.GD, it has been decided to give an annual salary
increment up to 15% of the total remuneration, calculated across four
progressive tiers, whereby the percentage of increase rises as salary levels
decrease, in consideration of the living conditions of lower-income employees.
It is worth
mentioning that the direct financial implications of this decision and the
resulting increase in operational expenses will reach up to 15% estimated at a
total amount of $1 million in Jordan only, and $4.5 million across all TAG.GD’s
offices.
Moreover, Dr.
Abu-Ghazaleh decided to proceed with its implementation retroactively as of
1/1/2026, notwithstanding the prevailing global economic challenges, wars and
crises that cast their shadows on markets worldwide, as well as the consequent
rise in payroll expenses across TAG.GD’s offices globally. This decision
reflects TAG.GD’s commitment to its employees and in consideration of their
living conditions.
It should be
noted that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD) employs more than 1,650
employees, and it has retained its entire workforce throughout successive
periods of economic difficulty, without any salary or benefit reductions and
without resorting to legally permitted crises-related exceptions. At the same
time, no employee contracts were terminated.
On this
occasion, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his great confidence in all TAG.GD’s
members, based on his trust in their competence, dedication, and productivity,
affirming their ability to achieve even greater success and progress.
